Then Mama would call us kids from the front porch “Come home - it’s supper time.”

At Stewarts we still make chicken the old fashioned way - like Mama used to. We marinade our chicken and hand-breaded each piece in our own unique breaded coating. Then, we cook it in an open fryer. No, we don’t use a cast iron skillet anymore but the taste is just the same. Our fried chicken has a home-cooked goodness that you won’t find anywhere else. We still make it the way Mama did and we’re proud of that. It’s what makes our fried chicken so unique.
